Veal Pizza Sliders with Dill Slaw

Recipe:  Split open some Italian bread slider buns.  Brush the buns with olive oil and grill the buns till they become toasted.
Make a few unseasoned ground veal slider size patties.
Saute the patties with a splash of olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat till they are cooked golden brown.
Season the veal slider patties with sea salt and white pepper.
Add some tomato sauce and simmer the veal patties.
Put a thin slice of fresh mozzarella on each patty.
Cover the skillet and let the steam from the tomato sauce soften the cheese.
Sprinkle a pinch of oregano on the melted mozzarella.
Spoon a dab of the tomato sauce on the bottom half of each slider roll.
Place a basil leaf on top of the tomato sauce.
Place the cheese topped veal patties on the basil leaves and slider roll bottoms.
Place the sliders on a plate with the tops of the slider rolls cantered against the veal sliders.
Place a scoop of dill slaw on a piece of lettuce on the plate.  (The dill slaw blog recipe was posted 11/25/2010 in the Dijon Mustard Breaded Frog Leg recipe.)
This is a tasty combination for a simple gourmet slider!  The flavor is like the pizza burgers from the early days of gourmet burgers.  Absolutely yummy!  Ciao Baby!  ...  Shawna
